The Hog's Breath Saloon is located here in Key West offers a wide variety of food, fun, and entertainment. Opened in 1976, the Hog's Breath was originally created as a place for fishermen and sailors to hang out and relax after a hard day of work. It was originally located in Fort Walton Beach, but was moved to Key West in the late 1980's. Nowadays, many tourists love to stop by and check out the place while in the Key West area.
Hog's Breath History
There is live entertainment almost every day at the Hog's Breath. The first show typically starts at 1:00pm, and the fun doesn't stop until the early morning. Before you visit, feel free to check out the saloon on their Hog Cam, featured on the company's website. There are three views featured so you can quickly decide if this place is something you'd like to check out while here. You can also watch many of the Hog's Breath's events if you are unable to attend. Be sure to pick up one of the saloon's famous T-shirts on your visit!
The saloon is famous for the "Homemade Bikini Contest," a yearly event where participants are voted on based on categories, such as difficulty and originality. There are other happenings going on throughout the year as well here, such as the Hog's Breath 5K Run, Hair of the Hog party, and fishing tournaments.
If you enjoy dining and drinking at the Hog's Breath, you can rent out the party room for any special occasion. It is perfect for wedding receptions, birthday parties, business meetings, and more. It can accommodate 80 people for dinner parties or up to 150 for a simple reception. Hog's Breath will also cater your event if you decide to have it elsewhere.
